“ Mother's Day lunch with Sister's, Step-Mother, Daughter, niece and Great-niece, Sunday 19th March. Staff were friendly on our arrival, once seated they took our orders. Our orders were not consistent, we had to keep asking where items were. Not impressed. Food was delicious as usual. ”
“ Went here on a date. Food is really nice and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go again. The toilets are modern and clean. They also do an all you can eat buffet on a Sunday. ”
“ I have just been with the family 11 of us total the service was amazing. Even though it's an all you can eat buffet the food is brought fresh and a great variety. This is the best in Manchester I have been too. I can not recommend it enough. Thank you. ”
“ Couldn't find any other sit-down restaurants open at 9pm, asked a local at a pub and he pointed us here. Great customer service, plenty of staff working and all were polite, if not particularly friendly. Food reasonably priced (main course with rice between £12 and £15, and rice is separate at about £4). £5 pints. Great variety of food, good customer service, very clean, and reasonable prices. Wouldn't recommend Cantonese sauce unless you like VERY sweet sauces, but that is our fault for not doing our research first! ”
“ We came here as a family of 6 for belated birthday tea for my mum, and our expectations were exceeded! I came here a few years ago and was blown away by the food, and finally got round to bringing the family along as well. Booked a table few days prior, text confirmation, and staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. We opted for the banquets rather than individual dishes, and we felt that there was plenty of food - so much so we were able to take some home. Staff were very attentive, always asking if we wanted more drinks and also cleaning the table inbetween courses which was appreciated. The food was divine! the starter plates consisted of ribs, seaweed, beef dumplings, prawn toast and spring rolls. This was served with small bowls of sweet chilli sauce and sweet and sour sauce, more was brought out when requested. Duck to follow, crispy and flavourful. We had an array of main dishes, the sweet and sour prawns were delicious, as was the spicy chicken. We felt it was incredible value for money, and there was enough food to feed a village (hence why we have had it for lunch today!). I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, a true gem in the heart of eccles. Thankyou for such a special night! ”
“ 8 of us in for a birthday meal and we weren't disappointed. £27.50 prr person and keep ordering till you're done. Superb. ”
“ We had a family celebration at this restaurant last night. The service was excellent, staff worked hard, were extremely friendly and everything was perfect. The food was lovely and worth every penny. They went out of their way to accommodate presentation and distribution of birthday cake and allowed us to decorate the table to make the meal extra special. Will definitely come again as will all in my party. Thanks so much. ”
“ I was really surprised by my visit to Pacifica. When I first arrived here, I sat at the bar waiting for my friends to arrive and had therefore spent my time pre-judging the restaurant on its decor alone. To me the clean lines, white leather upholstery and blue lighting made it feel cold and sterile, almost intimidating. Yet after a couple of Stolichnaya Vanil and Tonic cocktails served by a very friendly bartender, somehow the colour scheme felt calming and tranquil. Funny that. Once I was sat down, it only got better. This Cantonese restaurant and Dim Sum bar offers high quality cuisine and great service. We started off with a mixed plate of dim sum and a couple of steamed char siu bao (sweet buns filled with barbecue pork, and a personal favourite of mine) to share, which were practically inhaled by my table in seconds. For my main I ordered Pacifica sirloin steak, a twist on a regular sirloin as it's prepared in the wok with onions, straw mushrooms and oyster sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested and for £12 was a healthy size and premium quality. Absolutely no complaints. My friend ordered the hot and spicy Sichuan mussels which were the talk of the table: served with crushed ginger, garlic and chilli sauce, they had some kick to them. Somehow, with cocktails and wine included, our bill came to less than £30 a head. You didn't see any of us complaining, it could have been twice the price and we'd still have been happy! ”
“ This place opened relatively recently (I think it used to be a different Chinese) and has stiff competition as it is next to the Eccles institution that is Smith's bistro. But I have to say that it did itself proud. The food was excellent - better than several restaurants I've been to in Chinatown recently (including the Little Yang Sing). A very well thought out banquet menu with great dim sum, lovely crispy duck, and a fantastic choice of mains. Really tasty food that just didn't stop arriving at the table! It was very good value for money, and all served in a very stylish setting. The only downsides were that it was a bit quiet and lacked atmosphere (but it was a Tuesday night, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt), and generally it was a bit cold (A TV fire will not do - please turn the heating on, it's winter!!) But it's definitely worth a try. ”
